Ipanema is the best area in Rio to rent an apartment or a flat. Leblon is also very good, but more expensive. The beach is just a few steps away. There are hundreds of options with 1 or 2 bedrooms, and you can also find Luxury Flats and penthouses with 3 or 4 bedrooms

 

Copacabana offers a huge diversity of apts and flats for rent, mainly 1 and 2 bedrooms. It gets very busy during new years and carnival time, but it won´t be a problem finding decent places during regular season.
